Hi guys, might be an idea to relax the DPM to modern too, but still put a hold on Modern assault rigs and equipment. I have a pile of 58 patten SA webbing!! which will do for starters and its free to hire!

If anyone needs some '58 webbing, I have the following up for grabs-
full set of webbing -
yoke, belt, left and right ammo pouches, water bottle pouch and ally bottle, 2x kidney pouches, browning pistol holster, large pack and poncho roll cover.
also odds and ends-
2x large packs (one damaged)
2x poncho roll covers (one damaged)
2x '58 belts
I'm keeping my '80's para smock though as it still fits!
make me an offer guys!

I have period and period looky-likey gear up for lending to any players that may need it. Old-style DPM jackets/smocks, Mk4/Mk5 helmets, a few sets of '58patt webbing - all you need to bring is a pair of plain green combat trousers!

Hi ya guys, i would just like to add a little to this post if i may.

The ACF unit i am with is currently having a clear out of all detachment stores and as of late i have got hold of the following 58 patt webbing.

1 x complete sets CEFO with large packs. used grade, may be slight damage. 1 x set sold to white rabbit

5 x large packs. used grade may be slight damage.
6 x NBC rolls. good grade
11 x Water bottle pouches. Good grade, these have the strap closing not the twist lock.

3 x right ammo pouches. used grade.
2 x left ammo pouches. used grade.
2 x webbing belt. used grade.

Please bear in mind this stuff has been used and had a hard working life and there will be some damage to some or all this kit. i have made up the two sets complete out of the better bits.

This is all i have so far but i may come into contact with more in the future. I cant get hold of any old uniforms now as all the 80s stuff we did have has been recycled back to the QM for the new stuff.

I'll be away on camp for the next two weeks but if anyone is interested then pm me(keeps the thread clear) and i will arrange getting stuff to you by cheapest means poss. Not looking for a lot of coin for any of this as i am doing my QM a favor by mag to griding* this stuff.

The way i see it is the only real 'deal breaker' for cold war brits is that you've got to be using old school webbing.

From more than ten feet away *no one* is going to notice the cut of the DPM and the pattern didnt change drastically from 66pattern through to Soldier 2000!

But, you're going to spot a tac vest or desert DPM (not issued until the 90s) a mile off.

I personally think soldier 95 is fine (as long as its green) as long as the tactical gear over it(including helmets) is old school.
