Now I want to run this as 'in game' as possible, as it is all about the atmosphere I think.
There will be Tables and Chairs, Drinks, Poker and food served from Friday evening until Sunday Lunchtime. You can sit for your grub, or take it out in a mess-tin. There will always be a vegitarian option running alongside the meat, and all food will be cooked in good old cast iron.
Everything will be paid for in dollars (or credit) in game, and there will be an honesty box for real money to help towards the actual running costs which people can contribute to as the see fit.
If anybody wants to rely solely on the cookhouse for his or her food for a weekend, then that is absolutely fine. If they could let me know in advance of an event, then I can work out a cost, make sure they will be provided for, and ensure that enough grub is reserved for them on the day so they do not go hungry.
I am trying to think of the humble way to say 'the food will be really good'.... But I can't think of it.
Anyway, some examples of what I tend to do on an open fire are below. My point being 'This cookhouse don't heat up cans and call it cookin'
Mutton and Redcurrant Stew

Root Vegetable Gumbo

Pan fried fish with mash and honeyed snap beans.
