Back story.
On November 12th 2016 the whole of the UK went dark after a huge cyber attack whipped out the national grid, communications and rendered the UK military deaf and blind. For two weeks an unconventional war of has raged through the urban cities an rural towns. A huge force of UK and international veterans has made up a backbone to an effective resistance effort. Armed originally with small arms or civilian legal weapons, the resistance has now been resupplied with more current weapons and equipment. The UK military has had a chance to re-organize itself and is now trying to re-establish control of a few major roads and nearby cities.

However, the Russian commitment is astonishing and although it looked like the UK was their only target, Communist movements have now seized power in a number of ex soviet countries and escalation is starting to be felt in Europe. The US are still uncommitted at this time using possible concerns about China as a reason to hold back their forces and aid.

The story continues on from the last event, set in the Suffolk Countryside.
A number of UK mobile radio wagons had been set up and deployed around a key ‘black spot’ in the UK communications relay. With Skynet still not available at this time, boosters to VHF and UHF channels has become a vital everyday priority. A Russian Spetsnaz observation team spotted a number of these wagons moving around fields in Suffolk, just outside of the destroyed US airbases of Mildenhall and Lakenheath. A regiment of Spetsnaz was tasked to find all the trucks and knock them out. Also, try to find out what frequencies were being used so locally deployed scramblers could break the communication lines and blunt East Anglia’s resistance effort. They completed their tasking’s but failed to scrabble communications, as the UK forces became aware early on in the Russians mission of there presence and quickly changed up.

However, after Russian re-enforcements were called in, the UK force appeared to have pulled out of the compound and the Russian forces moved in. The location of the compound has strategic value and perfect as a supply depot for the newly landed forces that have arrived across East Anglia and Lincolnshire. The City of Lincoln and Norwich are now in Russian Control.

Hidden away in an old WW2 bunker complex beneath the old Airbase compound, hides the UK force, presumed by the Russian command as withdrawing. With all the supply’s being dropped in this single location, the hidden force has an opportunity to strike a devastating blow the Russian war effort and take out a massive chunk of their supplies need to hold onto East Anglia. If successful, this could see a turn in the fortunes and the tide of the invasion.

Russian troops will operate from the main base and have control of the mian compound. Red force is made up Russian infantry who must be in DMR and Spetnaz forces that can wear any modern Russian camo, be it mixed or uniform.

UK troops will operate from a fixed HQ and have a number of CPs in the field.
